locally grown and made, pastured, chicken, lamb, eggs, soap & other good things

We have a variety of growing experience and now operate from our 25-acre farm in Northwestern Wisconsin.

Some fun things about us:
We have 7 children – and yes they are all ours after being married over 20 years now.

Some fun things about us: We have 7 children – and yes they are all ours after being married over 20 years now. During a season in our lives as independent contractors while we had 6 children, we lived in 11 places in 8 years before we landed here in Frederic.

We have a lot of animals, with sheep, chickens, an aussie-border collie, and a cat, and dream of more! We produce lamb, chicken, eggs, and soap, and are working on a variety of other homemade goods and dairy products. In addition to taking care of our homestead, like a lot of farmers, we work too. Josh works as a mentor for the state of Wisconsin helping people coming out of addiction or who might have mental health needs of all ages, but primarily young boys and teens. Sarah Beth formerly did mentoring as well before choosing to spend more time at home with the family and work as a reporter and columnist for the local paper, the Inter-County Leader.

We have ranger variety meat chickens, with USDA processed whole chickens and leg / breast quarters for sale.

We also have free-ranging layer chickens, producing delicious farm fresh eggs. Both are pastured and supplemented with local high-quality feed from Atlas Co-Op.

We currently have a growing flock of pastured sheep for meat, with butchered cuts available, and are now to milk sheep for making wholesome milk products. Our sheep milk soaps made from our own milk are now available! Unfortunately, although we sold a variety of cheese through the Wisconsin Sheep Dairy Cooperative in the past, they have discontinued making it for now.

There are also a lot of exciting expansion projects in the works for 2024 and on!

We are available for delivery or local pickup. Give us a call or text to 715-733-1117 (Sarah) or 651-350-8379 (Josh) to set up. You can also stop the homestead at 3417 90th St, Frederic, WI 54837. We are closed on Sundays.

We sell meat and soap on site at the homestead and at the two farmer’s markets we attend in the summertime, Thursdays at the Perlick’s Distillery in Sarona, WI, and Saturdays at the Spooner Farmer’s Market at the Washburn County Fairgrounds.

We’ve also expanded to sell soap in to a retail location in 2022, the Log Cabin Resort in Trego, WI.

Why You’ll Love Us

We love God and farming. Over the years we have done a variety of growing techniques and animal care. As a family, we enjoy teaching our children and others what we know. Hopefully you’ll enjoy joining us on our learning journey as a family too. There has never been a better time to eat locally!

  • Affordable (We love fresh, homegrown, nutritious meals that you can feel good eating and feeding yourself and those you care about)
  • Ethical (We are a cage-free operation. We grow out our animals and keep them with care in environments that allow them to move and behave the way they were meant to)
  • Sustainable (Sheep are very good at eating plants other animals won’t and take up less pasture space than other meat and dairy animals)
  • Family Owned and Operated (translate Made With Love and whole bunch of fun)
